Says suitable for front disc brakes only.

The hope version (adaptor H ) for 183 says it is OK for front and rear 160mm post fitting. I would guess that means the shimano one is also suitable?

Post is post - front or back makes no difference, any +20mm Post to Post adapter will sort it.

So to run a rear 180mm disc I need to get a front 200mm? or 203mm adaptor?

Your frame is most likey 160mm post (runs a 160 disc without adapter)

So for a 180 disc you want a +20mm adapter (160 to 180).

Had the same problem with Abigales Enduro. Fitted a same size XT front adaptor to the rear. Works a treat
