[#2635927]

Having recently got a rd bike I've noticed the following:

when on my road bike people are generally smiley and seem to have a look of respect/admiration.

however the majority of people I pass out on the trails have a look of disapproval

anyone else noticed this?.

It's not something I've noticed, but then, people tend to look at me with respect/admiration whether I'm riding a mountain bike, road bike, or just walking down the street.

Why do people abreviate road to rd?

My initial thoughts yesterday were "why is someone asking why rod brakes are crap?"

Road bike = sport
Mountain Bike = passtime

@sefton, how many zillions of times do we need to go through the same? It's the same with helmets/unions/Scotland/London/BMW/Audi/29ers etc. Do a search, read, move on.

Riding your road bike on the trails will automatically attract looks of disaproval.
