Hey folks
Looking at either the race face Charge or Alpinestar paragon as a lightweight/minimal knee pad option.
Just wondered how they size up in 'real life'?
Looking at the RaceFace size guide I could need XXL based on my thigh measurement but I'm guessing these is a lot of stretch in them?
I have chunky thighs - 21" measured 5" above centre of kneecap, and big calves too. XL paragons fit me perfectly
The RaceFace guide says I am XL but I have the Charge ones in L and they are perfect. I also have Paragons, also in L and they are a good fit too. The Charge are much more minimalist and feel like leg warmers ! The Paragons are more chunky and offer more protection. I don't notice the Charge ones riding but am aware of the Paragons but they aren't restrictive at all.
I wear the Charge ones most of the time
CRC and collect plus works a treat here, I ordered loads until settling on these ones and sizes
Thanks lads - my thighs are 24/25inches a couple of inches above the knee and 27ish if you go 4 or 5 inches up from the knee so unsure of sizing really….
I'll be gong with the CRC Collect+ but just wondering which sizes to go with as a starter..
Are the RaceFace really stretchy?
Yes, RaceFace are totally stretchy, suggest you order L and XL
