Does anyone know what the Haven alu bars are all about with the different graphics? old model? non UK version? The price looks good though.

I've already got some carbon havocs for my AM bike, do you guys reckon 750mm is too wide for a 120mm XC bike?

What's it got to do with the bike?

760s on my spanky hardtail, but I've arms like a gibbon.

Actually it's more to do with my local riding, which is quite tree-heavy - so it was a stupid question.

Ordered one anyway. I suspect the trees will come off worse if these are as strong as Easton reckon.

🙂

What is the difference between the carbon havon and havocs apart from width?

at that price they are either OE and/or overseas sourced. Cost from importer + VAT is more than Merlin are charging once you take the 10% checkout discount off ie. if they got them from Extra UK theyre making a loss. Which I doubt is the case.

Cheers for the heads up. Haven carbon riser for the wife, havoc for a mate. Shame my bikes are sorted in that respect.

The low rise Haven bars - how low/high is the actual rise?

Woo, /me buys carbon havocs to go with my havens

Haven is still lighter even when the Havoc's cut down, but presumably a little less strong. All relative, the haven is still strong like ox (allegedly just as strong as the old monkeylite dh)

Oh, Merlin are on Topcashback as well, further 3.03% cashback if you go via them. (and also at CRC and Wiggle, and I think Evans). All adds up over time.

(incidentally, if you use this link then I get a referral bonus ;))

Ah ok. Want to try something slightly wider than my 711's - think 730 ish would be perfect and always wanted to give carbon a go.

So what if they're OE? Easton only make one quality don't they?

FWIW I got a set of Havens in the last Merlin sale- cheaper than they are now, IIRC it was £75- and they were retail boxed with english instructions. No guarantee they were official UK market products but they didn't look like OEM.

I got two Havocs last time they were cheap. Clear plastic bags, no instructions, no boxes. Not a problem though, I know how handlebars fit and I wasn't planning on fitting he box. Would have gone soggy this summer anyway.
