I loved my 5.10 basic shoes, wore them until they fell to bits and then some. Been waiting for cheap ones to show up

Just bought more, thanks for the PSA.

How do these size up as i,m usually a size 9

Pretty standard sizing tbh. They've got no real structure though so you can contort them more than, say, an Impact with the laces.

FWIW, CRC still have an assortment of Sombrio shoes in the sale... My Basics were alright for the short time they lasted and I'd be happy to pay £24 for that but I'd sooner pay £40 for an X-Float. More sizes too.

got a pair in the last R+R PSA. Nice casual skate-style shoes, built quality and materials are nowhere near that of 5.10 Barons/Impacts etc, and no way are they worth the alleged £70 RRP.

Mine will only be going anywhere near a bike when they are tatty as I wear em as everyday trainers and can't see em surviving long used as riding shoes, think TK Maxx Etnies rather than Sam Hills and you won't be disappointed.
