[#4031205]

I've rebuilt my road bike with Chorus 11 and seem to be having problems with the front shifting. Everything else is fine except the LH ergo which has lost the ratchet inside somehow and won't pull any cable. I've not been hamfisted but this is the second one to go this way. Any thoughts as to what I've done wrong because I'm stumped - I built up quite a number of bikes with Campagnolo since the mid 90s and this is the first time I've had this problem.

I know that this might sound obvious but did you have the shifter fully in the small ring position and make sure that the cable correctly threaded through the inside of the lever OK. It's not so obvious with 11spd as 10spd.

Thanks TG03 - looks like that's it. ** sighs **
Well at least I've got a spare pair of ergos now.
At least it's not as tedious as finding how low quality 3T ti stem bolts are, which break before they reach 5Nm.

When the return spring on the rear shifter actually does fail, you can rig a rubber band around the return lever to get yourself home [advance notice, I know, but happened to me...]
