Has anyone done this? I assume it's possible to drift out both bearings along with the spacer tube in one hit? Have ****ted it pretty hard already but they don't seem to be shifting. Any tips (apart from taking it to the LBS ๐Ÿ™‚ )? Tools are limited to a few large hammers, lots of sockets and lengths of rod suitable for drifts. No bearing pullers etc...

IIRC you have to drift them out from the inside as there is a step in the hub to seat the bearings against - using a drift knock the spacer tube to one side then drift the bearings out from the inside

heat the hub ( rag wrapped round plus hot water) to make life easier. Freeze the new bearings

The bearings come out of each side. To do this inset a screwdriver and lever the centre tube to one side, and then tap the bearing from the inside, you'll probably have to move the tube round a bit and tap the bearing from all sides, evenly.

Once one bearing is out, out comes the tube and tap the other bearing out from the inside.

Easy peasy.
