My DT tubeless valves have decided to cease functioning. So i need some new valves, but do i need the entire stem and valve or are presto valves universally threaded?

I replaced the cores in my Mavic and Bonty valves with generic, £2.50/pair, cores.

Conti tubes and I'm sure others have removable cores. I've salvaged valve cores from old inner tubes before to replace DT cores that have been gummed up beyond 'cant be bothered' to clean them state.
