Sons bike is a carbon cube stereo around  10 years old and needs a new press fit BB, not sure which to order. Can't find the exact model online and none similar list the BB type. Cranks are shimano xt double ring FC M780. If I smack the BB out I assume it will have the ID but he won't have his bike for a few days, Bearings are totally shot.

Shimano haven’t made a 30mm spindle crank, so you’re probably looking at SM-BB92-41B or equivalent - the bearing cup has an OD of 41mm. If the bearing cup is 46mm OD, then you’ll need a PF46 BB  for 24mm spindle

It's a pretty fair bet it'll be a standard Shimano type, for an 89.5/92mm frame (measure the BB shell just to be sure), available in a few versions to meet different price points. Can't remember for sure, but pretty certain the model no. is visible on the outer ring of the shell once you've taken the crank arm off. Edit- 4hrs without a reply, and somebody answers while i'm checking to see if the number's visible on mine 🙂
