Anybody know good places to get a full suss blasted and powdercoated for under £50? Also, do they strip and tape the frame or would I have to? I'm in the midlands but travel to The south west a lot.

ABC Enamelling - Nailsea, North Somerset.

I know a number of people that have had very satisfactory powdercoat jobs done on their bikes. I'd imagine that you'd need to strip the frame.

There's a place on the A38 Tyburn Rd, that seem to know all about painting bike frames etc. Not got around to using them myself, but having spoken to the chap there he gave me some confidence re: the importance of masking etc. Only downside is they don't do the stripping. Enviro-Strip in Tamworth can sort that quite cheap though. I've used Chris Ward of CJ Ward in Burton plenty of times. He's very very good, but like a lot of places your restricted to the colours they have in stock if you want it done cheap.
Also, head to a fasteners stockists, big flat washers & all-thread is better than faffing around with masking tape. Just remember to leave on end flush or sub-flush or you'll be sawing them to remove.

Use the search, this has been done recently ....

Redditch shotblasting is who I have used and would do again, superb job, they know bikes and Motorcycles too as they re-did all the bikes for the Mational Motorcycle museum after the fire there.
