probably just as well as they normally lose stuff, but I was a bit shocked to post a wheel today and be charged nearly £13 via Parcelforce, as they no longer do standard parcels

is there a cheaper way?

thanks

Been using MyHermes as I can post from my local shop, prices seem reasonable and they've not lost anything yet.

My Hermes or Collect Plus are cheapest these days. Royal Mail prices are insane, chrapest to post two tyres (folded) is now £8!!!

I make a few wooden items which need posting. One item in particular, which I always pack the same way, comes in at almost bang on 2kgs, because timber is natural, this can be + or - about 30g.
Up until very recently this would hit the weight threshold and cost either £4.90 odd or £7 something to post.
Not any more. Over £12 now ! I'm told also, that although these things are 1360mm long, the 1500mm limit for max length is now reduced to 600mm.
Bless the Post Office. 😐 Then find an alternative.

Standard parcel went on 2nd April.Use to use it alot great service back in the day you could post a bike that way.Not anymore you have to use parcelforce and take it to your local depot to big for post offices now and costs a bomb.
I work for RM been there most of by working life the prices are a complete rip-off now. 🙁
