There's a very dodgy looking auction on eBay, it's listed as an ASR5 carbon, but it's actually an ASR alloy and the seller only wants cash paid at an address where they work.
And 0% feedback, it just looks wrong to me.
If it's the one I have just found then it's got a carbon rear triangle.
but yes, you would thing if the bike had been customised then the person would be able to list the parts accurately. Easton carbon XTR bars?
Are we talking about the silver and white one which is actually an older 575?
Yes but it's not an ASR5, maybe I'm wrong but I thought better to post just in case.
the ASR used the front triangle from the 575, or at least one that looks identical to it from what I have seen when looking up yetis in the past. The rear triangle is definitely not 575 from that era front triangle.
It would be quite a funny advert if I didn't agree with you
"Folks - Fox F-Series RLC with Suspension" 😆
Gotta be dodgy
Item 300801612074?
Its looks like an ASR-SL (carbon rear). From about 2006.
99p starting bid, but give him a break he's got 'health issues'
Yes that's the one, its definitely not a 2011 worth £5500, I know people try to pull strokes on the dreaded eBay but I reckon some poor sod some where is pretty gutted at the moment, just hope they see this or the ad.
I just asked a series of questions a Yeti owner would easily know, lets see what happens (if anything).
am i the only one that thinks this looks pretty normal/legit?
i dont get why it looks dodgy other than the fact the guy has no feedback?
EDIT : other than the fact its not a 2011? it doesnt look 'stolen' to me is what i mean
I work 5 mins from him if anyone wants me to have a peek ?
I hope it's not stolen, but most people who own decent quality bikes usually know a bit about what they are.

How do you know that? For all we know he walked into Mountain Trax and said "I have £5000 to spend, build me a bike", and came out with that. We had customers like that, didn't know anything about bikes, just wanted a nice one.
There's a lot of reasonable photos, it looks to have been written a bit hurriedly, but doesn't scream 'stolen' to me.
If someone is more sceptical and wants to do their good deed you could email Chris at Mountain Trax - matey being in central Reading there's a likelihood they sold it, may know if someone's reported it stolen, or may recognise it as a legit custom build.

A mate of mine has the latest SB66
He wouldn't be able to even tell you what tyres it has without going to look, he's simply not interested in anything but riding it.
Or they are making the bike sound newer and therefore less used to gain max bids from spotty yeti fans ; D
Smells iffy to me.
its at £490 now.
Fair play for pointing it out. But until someone comes along to say it's theirs then we have to presume it is a legitimate sale.
He may well be selling for a friend. Despite the 0 feedback. Yeti riders may like to think they're part of a small cool collective, but plenty of people own these kind of bikes knowing sweet fa about them..
At that price it's worth a punt to split 😉 Pics look legit and apart of his lack of bike knowledge (obviously unheard of in the realms of STW) and slight illiteracy (also not uncommon! we all see/hear the news)I reckon it's probably sound.
Oh it's his friend who is selling it due to health reasons, I see! I'm not convinced
Zero feedback. Cash only. Buyer probably collects at a petrol station or shopping centre in Reading. For a friend. Wrong model. Wrong year.
Yep - thats all pointing to legit for me. 😉
Although he does have tons of photos. Or maybe I've just figured out a way of selling stolen stuff: register a new account just take tons of photos.
Lots of Yeti owners register their frame numbers on the Yetifan forum so maybe if he gives out the frame number it'd check out with one on there. Just a thought.
