I am riding a sportive from Haversham near Milton Keynes this morning. I had a fantastic idea of getting the train to Wolverton instead of taking the car, so I left my car locked in the yard at work. Checked Live Departures this morning to find the line is closed and there are no trains going my way. So my only option is to ride to the event and ride home again. Ah well, it's only 35 miles on top of the 55 mile event.

55 miles is a Sunday morning spin before lunch. It's not an event.
Or maybe I've been reading to many audax articles. London-Edinburgh-London is an event. 😉
