do i really need to use centre lock hubs on a pompetamine?

centre lock hubs are expensive ๐Ÿ™

Thinking of building it up with a 6-bolt MTB SS hub, rather than a (centre lock) Alfine?

yeah i want a single speed build - looking at deore hubs but 6 bolt seem to be cheaper/ more available than centrelock.

It's on my list of things to try on mine next summer, so interested in this.

who said you do have to? I have 6 bolt front and back on mine and have done for the last year+. haven't died yet... ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

XT hub on the front, WTB Laser Disc on the back, by the way.

42mm max tyre clearance- Centrelock disc wheels are recomennded for maximum fork clearance.

ah right, well i've had no fork clearance issues or anything else like that since building mine. 160mm 6 bolt rotors front and rear.
