Going up next weekend, have been before but only managed a couple of hundred yards before having to bail out with a particularly offensive bout of the trots, Your choices are:
100mm XC 29er
125mm trail 650b
165mm enduropoon 650b
Which would suit the trails best?
Sticking to the waymarked trails? XC bike.
Taking in the off piste trails too? Take the trail bike.
Too many people are overbiked for GT - I often take the 'cross bike along.
There are a variety of trails to suit all your bikes.
If the XC bike is a FS take that, otherwise the trail bike.
For me an XC hardtail is quicker both up and down, but less fun as its rough enough in places to beat me up.
Best use of your day imo will be taking the trail bike and mixing some of the red and black with the unmarked stuff. Several trails go off from the mast right at the top on the black. Use trailforks to find them, its quite easy to make a loop.
If you're just intending to do marked stuff I'd still take the trail bike, gives you a bit more margin for error which is useful if you don't know the trails.
Trail bike for a trail centre, see?
Which one do you like riding fast?
If first time stick to the way marked trails. (Red) If you have all day then I would genuinely do 3 laps. One on each bike.
Ebike, makes the trails live, flow and grounded currently
