You know, one to stuff in the rucksack for when it gets a bit cooler or damp, or to pop on at the pub after an evening ride.
I'd like one with removable arms, if possible.
There are lots on the market, so some suggestions from seasoned MTBers would be gratefully received.
Gore phantom is the stock answer. I have 2, they're ace:-)
phantom +1
I bought a lovely little jacket from Decathlon a few months ago; lightweight fleece type thing with zip-off sleeves. Windproof front and actually pretty water-resistant for light short showers. Was just twenty-three pounds in a sale, but I can't find owt similar on their website. Might be a winter item that's not available atm. It's a fantastic bit of kit for the money; I've seen similar things by other braynds selling for three times that at least, and are no better.
I prefer my gore contest over my phantom, the phantom is quite heavy and bulky in comparison. You can't go wrong with any of the gore softshells though.
Cheers lads.
