Fitted my new Reverb at the weekend ....first ride last night....really impressed (dont know why its taken me so long!). Also noticed that there was a slight bit of play if you hold the seat and twist from side to side....didnt notice it while riding I have to say.
Is this small ammount of play normal?
Yes
You will get a vey small amount of movement in the bushes and keys which hold the two posts in place and allow them to side, however a 'full on wobble' isn't correct.
a teeny tiny bit of wobble is normal
Wouldnt call it a wobble....sounds normal...I'll shut up and get on with it!
Loco - by the way fitted my new X-firm sektor spring this weekend too (Wife ordered from you for my B'day)... Feels great....can't believe the difference it makes..!

When does it become too much? Wondering if the wife's reverb needs a new topcap.
