I've only just figured out where the huge step up and drop in the quarry near the top of pitch hill is, after riding Surrey hills for 15 years...
I turned up today and it's all been bulldozed.
Does anyone know what's happened / why they got demolished?Â

I would assume the usual - private land, landowner turns a blind eye, area becomes popular, people start digging more, area all over social media, area becomes more popular, more digging, bigger jumps, accidents, Â risk and hassle to landowner gets bigger, bulldozers.Â
