[#3870390]

Just managed to pull a square inch worth of lacquer off my top tube whilst removing a frame protection sticker.

Paint underneath is fine but I'm left with an ugly looking whole in the frame finish in a very promintent place.. Anybody know if this is something that can be patched/fixed with a reapplication of lacquer or is it a re-paint the whole frame job?

The irony of ruining the look of my paint job with something meant for frame protection isn't entirely lost on me but at the moment I'm spitting feathers!

Any help much appreciated

Clear nail varnish, build up a few coats then sand and polish.

Check it's compatible on somewhere hidden first.

Good ideas, thanks for the advice on the nail varnish. Will give that one a try

Same happened to me removing heli tape. I used halfords aerosol lacquer. Can still see the edge a little but it will do.
