In the process of packing my roadbike in an evoc bike bag for a trip to Mallorca. Do you bother with padlocks for the zips?

Cheers, Graham

Only to stop the zips coming open....

Far easier to nick a bike bag than a bike in bits.

I Just use tie wraps keeps the zips closed. If someone wants into the bag a padlock won't stop them.
Jeff beat me to it

Cheers, I thought zip ties. That'll do.

zip ties can be a real pain when they've just sent your bag with cutters into the baggage system, and then the desk tell you your bike bag is too heavy (even though its under the limit on the website)!

I'd still zip tie it, just something to bear in mind!

You can get reusable zip ties, they have a little catch that releases the pawl. Do that.

Put a pair of nail clippers into your carry-on, just in case.

Can you take nailclippers in carry on?

No, what's the point?
If I want to nick your bike I'll take the bag.
