Is it definitely the dropper cable?
Do you think it's rattling inside the frame?
I slid some foam tubing over the outer for the dropper and the brake hose/ gear cable from where they enter the frame. Stopped a bit of rattling but the motor makes so many clicking noises that it didn't really make much difference in the scheme of things.
If it's just the dropper cable rattling in the seat tube then some of the foam stuff might help.
If you're careful, you should be able to feed the dropper cable into the seat tube from the bar end while you pull the dropper out. Remove the dropper and run the foam stuff down into the seatube.
It'll save having to drop the motor.
Are you sure it's not the linkage rattling? Or the motor?

pretty sure it’s the dropper cable - certainly rattles when I wobble the cable from the bar end.
tried getting foam on from seat post end but it seems to jam pulling the cable through. I’ll try dropping the fork and getting some in from bar end
you won’t slide foam tube down far, there’s a loop of carbon that holds the cable near the headtube. I ended up dropping the motor and removing the battery to do the job properly.
Drop the forks out and with a long stick ram a pair of tights down there.
Ermm - how big / risky a job is it to drop motor and battery?
It's easy enough but you'll need to remove the chainring to get to one of the bolts. For that, you'll need a special tool.
Apparently, some of the cheaper ones have too large an OD to fit. I ended up with a Park LRT-2 which works fine.

I'm surprised it's got space to rattle - in the gen 1 carbon rise the cables are jammed pretty tightly against the battery.
You'll need to drop the motor to remove/service the seat post (as on my bike you can't thread the cable outer through while the battery is in place so can't see how would change the cable) so maybe put it off as long as you can and stuff some tights in the head tube until then. (I've dropped ours a few times and I wouldn't do it for cable rattle)
