Hi all, just built up a stage 6. I've had it invisiframed, but as part of the process the chappy looking mastic tape has been removed. What's people using to protect chainstay and minimise chain slap noise? In the past I've always used innertube fir this, but wanted a better looking alternative if possible

Using self amalgamating tape on mine.

Does the job fairly well but gets a bit tatty, not the solution if you're a tart.

on my alpine I stuck a sheet of pace carbon frame proctor to the inside edge of the chain stay. This was cut so it hung down about 15mm below the stay. I just left it like that. Lasted 6 years until the bike was nicked. Shut the thing up perfectly, the chain slowly ate into it, but never got near to the stay.

Orange sell the neoprene cover, but doesn't list as for the stage? May just go the tube route then, that worked perfectly on the spesh

Inner tubes no matter how well fitted look awful and moisture a crap soon finds its way in there .
Get some 3m 2228 tape and do the downtube at the same time .it's what the pro racers use to silence and protect there bikes and twenty quid will get you enough to last a lifetime
