Been following the various threads on packable waterproofs as I too am in need as my ancient gore tex won't do another winter. I have spotted the OMM Kamleika on Sport P which seems to tick a lot of the boxes but I haven't heard any reports on performance. Anybody any experience? Are they too flimsy for mtbing?

my experiance of OMM kit is its a touch flimsy for a stiff breeze and they dont seem to stand behind their gear either.

my go to thin jacket is a madison roadrace apex but even that ill only wear on XC/Bike packing rides where i dont expect to be crashing.

if im out MTBing on my rough and tumble bike ill take a 3layer shell and just get sweaty - at least itll only cost me 20 quid if i take a tumble and tear it to shreads.

I have an OMM Kamleika jacket and it's been pretty good. I used it at Tuscany Trails last year when it rained, a lot, and it worked very well. Like all lightweight waterproofs I tend not to use them with a pack, otherwise they all wear out on the shoulders.
The stretch fabric gives a bit and stops it being too too flappy.
If it's at a good price I don't see why it shouldn't be worth a go for a couple of years.

My Kamleika jacket must be 8 years old? Nice and lightweight. Stretchy. Quiet. Hasn't been used much for cycling, but is still in one piece.

Could maybe do with some sort of reproofing now though.

I use an omm too. It's brilliant.

I'd not want too slide down a screw slope on its elbows but I've not trashed it yet.

Graingers proof is best

Anyone got a recommendation for proof to use with them? How are they for elbow sliding?
