That was it Allsop Softride, I always wanted one of them, but then again I always wanted a Alpinestars Al Mega with elevated chain stays!

I had a ride on a Softride the other month. The elastomer strip that supposedly provided the damping had decayed though so it was interested riding along on a 3ft long carbon fibre springboard!
I agree with Jim The Saint re. Cannondale when it comes to long running mountain bike suspension designs. A friend had one of those ones above :shudders:
