Looks fine to me, someone's made itcomfy for them and suitable for riding in the winter.

Abuse would be to leave it in the garage unridden.

All useful additions TBH. Just proving how versatile a frame it really is, eh...

Edit : Although I wouldn't be seen dead with bar ends at that angle ๐Ÿ™‚

you got to love the ha ha pointing you can't afford a "proper" commuter/road bike you get on here. So they've popped on a pair of skinny tires on a mtb, so it looks a bit daft, big deal .

I have a bullit - don't ride it much now but I used to do xc round the new forest on it. Bar ends, 1.9" tyres and a 3-4" fork

It was actually great for the job - not many hills but pretty rough ground where I could sit & pedal without being affected by bumps. I bet that thing's great over potholes.

My commutah will soon be a 1990s zaskar with slicks, full guards and drop bars

I know a man with a Cotic Soda who has bar ends and an additional Wee-ride crossbar fitted. It almost made me cry when I saw it the other day.

There was a guy local who had a V10 with skinny road tyres to ride it to work, guessing it was his only bike didn't have bar ends though ๐Ÿ˜€

I hope it snaps (to put the bike out of it's misery - though that applies to most bikes ridden/garaged & polished on here)

I bet that saddle gives the Santa Cruz an extra inch of travel.

Some people may just have weird tastes in how they dress their bikes. I note both examples are nice and clean which may suggest that they are the owners one bike has to do all rides or they are just plain weird and own a 'special sock' for when they are alone...... ๐Ÿ˜†
