You can expect to miss a lot of the good trails if you don't know where to look!

Mud. Steep bits. Slippy bits. And lots of fireroad if you're not with a local. Took me ages to figure out a decent loop round there

I grew up in great ayton which is next to guisbrough, lived there for 18 years and spent years riding those hills and woods, admittedly the scene seems to have got bigger since I lived there, but some of the new stuff is very well hidden. Nowhere near the guisbrough marked trailway.

Have a look at strava. Also, there are a few decent bits if you want to extend your ride over to captain cooks monument. There are a couple of good DH's down the sides of the monument, again check strava.
