Hello, might be able to sneak a ride in there over the weekend, wondering whether to MTB or roady. How are trails holding up generally? I'll probably do moorland stuff round hole of horcum/levisham if MTB. Cheers!

Southerly facing stuff in the North is dry due to all the wind.
Norhterly facing trails on the moors are pretty good.
Wet prone trails are wet.

All in all well worth getting out.

Nice one - cheers.

Any ideas what the condition of the rosedale south singletrack (towards cropton) is?

I was up at may beck/lilla cross area last weekend and the main forestry tracks are fine, however the moorland tracks running off it looked awful. Sticky deep mudfest so choose your route carefully if you plan to ride the moors. Stick t'road, beware the full moon :-0

Up on Urra Moor/Tripsdale/Bransdaale/Rudland rigg etc yesterday, all tracks very dry, only wet bits were some surprise mossy patches on a cheeky footpath downhill I'd not done before, and bits where streams run across natch.
