Doesn't look like it so I'll start

Friday I was stuck in work all day (over running meetings took my lunch!) so sloped off early and hit up some local technical tracks before it got dark (this isn't a very technical bit). All sorts of jumps drops gaps etc and mostly riding really well

Drank too much beer on Friday night and felt ropey on saturday, so I fitted this fromt he recent PSA and faffed about with shock tokens. Seems to have made a difference but I've not had chance to test it properly yet.
Also it rained in the afternoon knackering up all the nice dry tracks ๐Ÿ™

Ride today. Didn't fancy MTB on the greasy tracks from the rain yesterday so decided to do some miles on the gravel bike

Up the Aire valley

Up some ginnels

Onto Otley Chevin. Almscliffe Crag in the background.

More Chevin

Quite a few trees down after Friday's gales

Nearly home

Went out on a walk with the fam in the afternoon. Found this disused barn, did a bit of Urbex. If I were a few years younger it would have been great for raves (as it looks like some have already been doing looking at the detritus on the floor)

All in all, pretty good weekend

Quite literally 'no weekend ride' for me 😢 5 minutes in, mud, roots, lack of skill and down I went. Game over for the day. Stoopid bugger that I am.

Not this weekend mate.
50mph winds stopped play on my normal Friday ride.
Saturday did some four wheeled petrol powered riding instead.
Then today I've been feeling slightly beaten up after a mates over enthusiastic over taking manoeuvres yesterday.🤣

Actually got out today for a proper ride, only the fourth time this year! Eve then I struggled to drag myself out of bed early to beat the crowds so had a slow* pedal round Cwmcarn in properly glorious weather.

Made me really glad to get out, need to make it out more often.

* my fitness isn't great so plodded round, not due to crowds!

Out again on the CX for a new SE gravel loop. At the absolute furthestmost point from the door as I left the woods to hit a road, a stick flicked up with the leaves and removed the derailleur.... rapid single speed conversion and then a coffee at the nearest pub whilst Mrs Davy came to the rescue...

Forecast for today was shite. How wrong that turned out to be for my birthday ride. Truly gorgeous out there in the Blacks.

Empty landscape. No-one out today (they must have seen the same forecast as me)

The struggle is real

I can see my house from here ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab conditions up on the Eastern Moors today - funny that the trails got quieter the closer we got to Sheffield!

Rubbish pic from a great ride. Decided to go winch and plummet, mate was on his starling so we had different start points, rode some great, new to me, stuff which was steep but starling boy got the fear so we bashed back round to bowhill for loops of fun.
25km, 1150m of climb, 1% battery at end. Goosed.
