After last nights ride (and some unusual sensations from the back wheel) my wheels need some tlc or should i replace them?
I've got Hope XC rear hub on a Mavic En321 and a rebuild will be around 70 pounds. Hope hoops are obviously the modern version but would I notice a significant improvement with a 200 quid outlay?

New Hoops will be lighter, but that's about it. The 321 is probably a stronger rim than most modern xc rims, but that depends more on the quality of the build (spoke tension etc). A hub is a hub, and anyone who says they can tell the difference between an XC and a Pro2 is mistaken.
Compare the weights and see if it's worth the extra £130. My guess would be 'it's not'.
As an aside, I have a Bulb/D521 for sale, which is similar vintage to the xc/EN321, but perhaps a bit more burly.
BUrley would never describe my riding style, careless on the other hand might.
Sounds like I can get away with this set up for a few more years. Hope removable bearing help.
