Has anyone with the new xt 1x11 tried running a kmc chain with it, as pal found the kmc he's using wouldn't travel through the rear mech properly??
Mine's working lovely with an X11-EL, In what way is it not working?
KMC chain working fine on mine.
Did he put it the wrong side of the little tab thingy on the cage?
No issues with mine.
We send ours out with X11 chains. No issues. Your friend did something wrong.
will find out later today as my M8000 XT kit arrives from bike24 (£176 posted) but I can't see why it wouldn't assuming you've bought the right chain.

works fine, bit of a bitch to index compared to 1x10 though
It is fairly easy to run the chain the wrong side of the guide tab on the cage if you aren't paying close attention. I run a Shimano chain with a KMC power link on mine with no issues. Being a bit of a rebel I have even re used the power link after splitting and cleaning the chain despite KMC saying you should not.
it's an X11 right, and not a X10?
