If I buy a new helmet as a spare and store it out of the sun in the attic will it still be good to use in 3-4 years time?

I've finally found one at a good price that fits beautifully and fancy a spare.

Opinions?

Cheers

Tim

I'd suggest wearing them alternately. That way they will take much longer before they get stinky, and you can wear one while the other is being washed / drying.

It should be fine, but obviously no one with guarantee it for you, but in reality yeah go for it. B careful with moisture too. Vacuum pack is I guess?

Avoid storing much in the attic - they get properly cold in winter and stupidly hot in summer.

OK. So dry and away from light should be ok.
Worth the chance as it's a lovely fit.
Thanks.

Unless you kept it outside, it'd be unlikely to suffer UV deterioration indoors anywhere, just like you don't get a sun tan indoors
