My trusty fox fork looks like they have bitten the dust and im thinking of replacing them.
The bike its going on is a bit of a work horse in that it is used to carry/tow the little around, but it usually comes with me on travels abroad so its not too bling but fun enough. It also used on epic rides such as SDW, when i'm just covering ground quickly. Frame is a Kona Hoss btw. The forks are currently fox vanillas r with 130mm of travel. Not fussed about additional adjustment to be honest, i have other bikes with various adjustments and don't use them. The only thing i'd like is a bolt thru (hub is a hope pro 2) as im no lightweight and always felt the qr allowed a bit to much flex. Budget wise, cheaper is better, but i don't what a pogo horse either.
So what's out there, any bargains to be had? My ideal would be the second hand pikes, but they are all getting on a bit now.
