I remember picking up my new Blur back in May this year, was well excited and that first ride was amazing but every ride since has been even better! Best bike I have ever ridden, enjoy your Nomad

I just opened a box with a bright blue Islabikes Beinn 20" for my 4 year old daughter. I love new bikes me; it'll look great once it gets a Thompson stem and seat post on.

How long before he chops it in for a 120mm XC bike/Hardtail/29er/140mm trail bike, etc.?

How many bikes or frames have you had over the last 2 or 3 years? I know of at least 4 - Prophet, Giant, Ragley and Heckler and now Gnomad. ๐Ÿ˜€

After six weeks waiting, this arrived today. ๐Ÿ˜€ Just finished building it up. Dropped the 3 rings and added a chain guide. Had to get a new rear rotor as it was badly bent and the front end needs a bit of fettling. Took it for a wee blip and she likes the wheelies and is not as gate-like as I feared.

Enjoy your new bikes people.

I'm still in (very drawn out) bike selling mode (anyone want an old school fixie? ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

Just wishing I had more time to ride - maxing out at 2.5 hours a week ๐Ÿ™

That's the way I seem to be headed too. At least you live somewhere with great biking already though!

But seriously, hope it works out for you.

So to balance out this thread, I just scrapped a bike, to remove the constant temptation of upgrading it.

New to me frame and forks to replace my previous commuter/ winter ride that met it's demise last week. A rapid transfer of parts and quick shake down ride yesterday morning, and just about to get a few moist hours in today. Oh, new blade for the hacksaw required to finish the build.

Lol, I did have a Nomad with Lyriks until yesterday (could well be related to the original post) and the new frame I'm getting on Tuesday is a Tallboy. I'm proper looking forward to it

People tell me the tallboy will make the nomad redundant but I see it more replacing 2 hard tails. If the tallboy can do what the nomad does or rather I can do the same trails on it, I'll be both delighted and gutted at the same time!
