[#10112488]

Finally took delivery after 2 1/2 months waiting.  Much love to Hope for humouring my choice of colours.

Chose the 10-48t cassette and a 32t ring instead of the standard 10-44t/30t as that felt a little under geared at the top end, and well, 48t is more than 44t.  203mm rotor up front, obviously, and a trendy 2.6" Minion DHF, although kept the HR2 out back.  Silly flat shin-rippers now replaced with SPD's.

Wasn't planning on a new bike 3 months ago, but after the Spitfire snapped, the insurance settled and sold off some parts it was obvious.

And...the BFe was a worthy stand-in for those 3 months, or at least the 27.5" one was - far more forgiving.  Always worth having a spare bike.

You have taken my approach to apple and oranges on bike to a whole new level.

mMy mainly apples with a hint of orange will be built end of Aug sadly as waiting on boost adaptor kit.

;-(

in other words I like what you’ve done v much so and that I’m gutted I can’t enjoy mine as it’s in pieces waiting.

👍😎

Dread to think if the cost of that beast?!

While I do like Hope kit, it's a bit much for me, all that orange and green. I'd have gone orange levers and cals and black everything else but you seem happy and it's lovely looking. Had it on the scales yet?

(I'd have gone with green pedals though...)

Cost-wise no different to standard apart from the Invisiframe.

Weight - 28lb like everyone's 😉

Couldn't get green pedals, but was only after them for resale. SPD4lyfe.

Fence meh.  Same as the SRAM XX1 shifter.

Can't wait to get it ridden properly although the grip2 36 should be fun.

There's a LOT going on in that picture.

If it were me, I'd remove the rim decals, black out the tyre logos and the Hope logo on the swingarm and stealth the fork decals.  That way only the TicTac colour scheme would draw your eye.

You have fenced in a house...how odd...

I think the fork decals look ok but you could go to Slik for some green and orange wheel decals 🤩

Little bit tasty that!

I have the same silly flat shin rippers, and currently the ripped shin to go with it!

Still haven't come down from yesterday's high yet!  When I look at other bikes at the same price, I can't believe the spec on the HB, and even if you don't like some Hope kit (I love it), you can't deny it's value for (admittedly silly) money compared to a Kashima'd Bronson or the like.

I have a mate on the case for the wheel graphics - brief is stealth (&reflective, if possible) with orange and green highlights.  Hopefully more subtle than the etching that's on the rims now.  With the Hope rims you can't remove, only cover.

Having an easy pedal out tonight to see what needs adjusting on the fork and shock, what with both of them having LS & HS compression and rebound, and then it'll be converting to tubeless tomorrow and hopefully a more substantial ride out.

The fence - garden is a good metre higher than the house, so needs something to stop small (and stupid bigger) children falling off it, and also to prop the bike against.  It does need paint, but it'll wait - there's fruit trees to the left and I don't want stains on my plums.
