I have been looking for a bike for a while to replace my daughter’s Canyon Neuron Young Hero that I sold recently. She needed something bigger, ideally with similar geometry figures to her Merida eOneSixty.
After looking at several awful, knackered bikes I came across this a few weeks ago and thought it might work quite well (What on earth is wrong with people selling utter crap, lying about the condition and being so utterly useless as half decent bike selling humans?!?). It needed quite a lot of work, more than expected, and I had to delve quite deeply into my parts bin, but I liked the colour and it seemed like a solid base. I was always going to replace the forks with Psylo Golds that she absolutely loves and as per the “s”, expected to be able to run a 27.5 plus on the rear, which sadly turned out not to be the case, the BB was too low so on went a 29 rear that I had spare.
Anyway, finally finished yesterday and first quick test ride yesterday evening and all felt good. We went out for a bit longer today and got it set up properly on the jumps and it seems like an excellent bike! My daughter loves it, it’s mega easy to jump, feels ridiculously light for a 160/150 alloy bike, rolls well, goes down the trail at pace and can take big landings comfortably:) it’s definitely a win and it was worth spending some time getting it sorted!
Looks a great.match to her skills 👍
