As its now 2012 and im sat at work nursing the hangover sent from hell im on the hunt for inspiration to join me on my new found love for using pedals to take me uphill in search for virgin DH trails,
Im up on the northumberland coast so if anyone can advise me of any trails worth trying i would greatly appreciate it, dont mind a bit of a drive to get there or a slog on the pedals for the right trail

New to cross country then?
Surely if you're relying on recommendations then the trails aren't "virgin"?
ha ha druidh your comment is very valid, i phrased that wrong i ment that i wanted to ride trails that aint hammered all the time like trail centers and main stream DH tracks........
not new to xc as such just new to actualy enjoying the climb as part of a ride and not finding every excuse under the sun o go ride glentress etc rather than go slog it out hunting for new things to ride. think im going to get the OS map collection out one night this week and check out the contours.........
Gypsy Glen across the valley from Glentress is superb if you're ever up that way. Loads of stuff that doesn't get used much in the Lakes, Wales or Scotland.
Gypsy Glen?? can you give me anymore info? get up that way all the time
found it ๐ google is my friend
Bit of a slog to get up there, but the descent is superb, really fast plenty of flow if someone gets to all the gates (3 or 4) ahead of you.
