Being bearing phobic my Anthem will soon hibernate for the winter.

This will be getting a winter of abuse instead.

I love single pivot Marins and this is my 5th since 1997.

This is one of the later ones with the 190 mm shock and is super plush.

£300 well spent.

Check everywhere for cracks. Daily.

I swear I nearly put ATB Sales out of business with warranty claims.

I appreciate that not everyone wants to ride their pride and joy in the winter, but Anthems (and other Giants) are about the easiest FS bikes out there to service bearings on. If this was your only reason not to ride it when the weather turns, I'd have probably advised you to learn how to swap bearings and stop worrying about it 🙂

They're not bad, my KTM Scarp is miles easier and they last a hole lot longer too, and there's less of them 🙂

I still love Marins, many happy memories with the Quad and Quad 2's in particular.

Was the whole bike £300 kona??

Friggin bargain!

I'll be laying up my Jeffsy for winter too.... Though I'm a wimp and will be Zwifting instead. 😞

Yep £300 but I had to do a 230 mile round trip in the total pissing rain Sunday morning to collect it.
