Any fellow chunky riders on here who have had good success finding brands that accommodate for those of us who like a few too many beers and fry ups?
For context I'm currently sitting at the upper end of 21st, I'm 6ft 4" and according to Mrs Pizza's fancy weight watchers scales have a fat percentage of 34% and a muscle mass of 36%. Having been a big bloke most of my adult life I'm well aware the cycling industry doesn't tend to cater for those of us of this build, heck, after suffering years of a chronically sore backside after every ride I went and got my sit bones measured at the lbs earlier this year and found out most standard saddles designed for men are too narrow for me, the shop gave me a choice of buying a womens saddle from them or finding something more suitable online ๐ thankfully managed to find a WTB rocket in 150mm width which has been a life changer as I can ride however much I want now without wincing after getting back on the saddle over the next few days.
Usually I take a 40"/42" waist and 3xl on t shirts but struggling to find really any brands that cater for these sizes and still look somewhat trendy and "in" amongst the mtb clothing offerings. I've been using some troy lee trousers which just about fit albeit a bit tight on the waist in 40" but aren't quite long enough at full pedal stroke, have always had success with endura clothing in the past but their last shorts I bought I find are super baggy and funnily enough way too long.
Tried Fat Lad at the Back?
edit: beaten to it
I like the waistband on the FLATB mtb shorts, but the rest of the short and their MTB jerseys are really quite crappy.
Gonso a German (or maybe Austrian) brand make far better kit, I really like their sitivo mtb shorts.

They're trying to tell you you're not fat enough!
i've got some alpkit shorts that fit a big baggy (very similar build btw)but if i went a size down would fit really well.
