There was a similar forecast a couple of weeks back when I was passing through Speyside. All of the locals were very excited about it.
I'll file this forecast with the 'BBQ summer' one
they know they can't be accurate so it makes you wonder why they try
Its not uncommon to get snow in October
Indeed, and it is the daily fail....I do just like Jo's response....!
+1I'll file this forecast with the 'BBQ summer' one
Metcheck website did a similar publicity stunt a few years ago (2003ish), they predicted snow hell and freezing damnation in November, all the main press and TV reported it and their source, mission accomplished for Metcheck, turned out to be absolute tosh in the end. Personally, I just look at 5 day forecasts and take anything more long range with a big pinch of salt.
Most of the respectable Meteo sources work on historic models, which are still just historic trends. There's no certainty.
well im just about to buy my new touring ski set up.
And a set of snowshoes.
Bring it on ๐
