[#2040429]

We are running new Shimano SLX floating, splined rotors on our bikes (180mm & 160mm). Both are a handful of rides old and we have noticed a little movement between the rotor and the spider in the rear wheels. Is this usual?

Sure its not just the pads moving back and forwards in the calipers?

seen this on a few bikes. its a fixed rotor but theres movement in some of them. it can feel like the pads moving in the caliper but a bit more extreme.nothing as far as i know, has been reported and sorted out as yet.

It's definitely not movement from the pads. But thanks for your responses.

I had a Hope rotor start moving recently. Tiny bit of rotational movement, could be felt with brakes on & rocking the bike. Just a few degrees, but enough to feel through the levers. Chap at Hope said its to be expected eventually. On his advice I gave the rivets a good squeeze on the Fly-Press at work & have had no movement since.
