first time solo, second time doing mayhem. was contenplating doing it single speed but having just done a 12 hour enduro this weekend i think i'll go back to gears!

Solo and very slow with lots of rests.
Last weekend was my first time back on my bike after a bit of an off four weeks ago, so I'm not expecting much.
Its not a race, its an event.
This'll be the first ever Mayhem that I've missed. 🙁
3rd Mayhem for me along with 'Lightly Lubed' team mates onewheelgood on his 7th or 8th (some people never learn) and Crell on his first outing.
Am riding this year on my 12th solo 24 hour race and praying for good weather 🙂 Will take 1.5 black shark mud's just in case though . . .
i am going to be but takeing the easy option, 4 man single speed team!
second mayhem solo, hopefully do more than last years pitiful 6, though my lights were, ahem, pitiful so only managed 1 night lap!!

I shall be there though, sproadically riding a bike inbetween messing about, having a laugh with some friends, eating lots of food, sleeping, looking at nice bikes, telling singlespeeders how stupid they are for trying to ride uphills without gears etc etc...

Solo's will have their own area next to the start finish line like the last couple of years.
First time for me as part of a team - just there to soak up the atmosphere. Oh and to do a few laps.
I'll be there, but as a spectator, I'll have just arrived from Beijing, and since it's in my back yard, I'll walk over the hills with the wife and wee one.
If the weathers nice, we'll be wearing matching Twin Six Speedy Club kit... 😀 If you want to say Hello...

Doing my first mayhem solo.
I might try and do my best impression of racing - is this so wrong? It is a timed race after all. Hopefully this means everyone who has stated they're just there to do a few laps can take pity on me give me a push as I slowly creak past them please?!
I'll be there, 5th year on the trot as a team of 4, with 3 others obviously, beware all ye of 'The Half Bloods' muahahahahahaha.....
