Increased parking charges?

Decent coffee and new trails would be good. Don't really see that happening though.

Sounds like a good thing, interested to know what, if any, changes us ordinary punters will see.

I think that there will be more Fat bikes , probably with Fat bike development and testing days.
They could use ordinary punters as test pilots and build a whole new set of trails with lots of porridge sections .
I think there will also be tyre testing and development days .
Hundreds of identical bikes with different tyres and pressures, let the ordinary punters find out what really works.
Then get Aaron Gwin to ride one with no tyres. It could all be so awesome .

There was an article in one of the local papers last week about "proposed" plans to invest £10m in the area including a mechanical uplift at Innerleithen

The BBC article has now been updated with a bit more detail.

In its first two years the centre aims to:

Help businesses launch five new products or services
Push forward three development projects
Support 25 business start-ups.
It is hoped that within five years it will generate an additional £1.5m in turnover.

The centre is the result of a project led by Scottish Enterprise in partnership with main funders the Scottish Funding Council and Edinburgh Napier University.
