You'll get a chalet for around £800 - £1200 for the week. Should be able to get a 6 bedroom place. You can pay a bit more for a top end place or a bit less for a smaller one and share rooms. Lots of nice chalets in town.

4 of us went for the first time last year, we drove but stayed with RoostMTB, they offered a catered option with a price per person which worked for us, was nice having breakfast and an evening meal ready for you! Think it was around £500pp so more than just accommodation as mentioned above.

Roost were great, we have booked to go back with them next year.

I always stay with Riders Refuge after getting sick of self catering. They've got some nice quite chalets just outside of the main lairy part of town. They could easily accommodate 6 of you. Free transfers, secure bike storage, breakfast and evening meal.

We've been about 6 or 7 times now. Gutted we missed out on it this year.

Can't remember the exact price. Think it was about £480 per person last time but for me it's worth it to avoid spending loads of time in the supermarket and the kitchen.

If you're prepared to hunt around you can get very cheap accommodation, but it will be very basic.

I've spoken to young lads on the lifts who are sleeping 4 to a room, on Sofa etc bikes piled in the kitchen etc and it's costs them peanuts. I'm too long in the tooth for all that, the place we rented this year and postponed to next is £2200 for a week I think, but it's massive with it's own garden with sex pond etc. We found it on Air B&B.

When I go with my family I use White Properties, they're great and have some nice places.

Cheers for replies so far. Think catered might be the way to go.

Think catered might be the way to go.

If that's what you want. Always seemed expensive to us. Breakfast is easy with toast and cereal, tea, coffee, etc. You'll be out for lunch (and its easy to make a packed lunch if you want), then a few nights DIY cooking and a few nights eating out. We normally pair up so its one shop and one cook each for the week, not a big deal. Its seems to be about £30-50 per day extra for catered, that buys you some pretty decent food eating out every night, even at Morzine prices! I appreciate it might make for more of a "holiday" though.

Think catered might be the way to go.

In all the years I've been going (most years since 2007 I think) I've only ever been catered once, but I really quite enjoyed it. I meant we got to know a lot of the other people staying in the same place and we ended up riding as a group which was nice.

The food, was so-so, but this was more than 10 years ago. I entirely depended on how much our host had drunk the night before, or ridden that day. We once had 'vegetarian' Thai Curry, aka spicy coconut milk and rice because he'd run out of budget from the owners.
