[#11180087]

Obviously our various mail order businesses are very busy at the moment so lots of complaints.
Mine is about exxposed.co.uk who are actually a German firm. I ordered some shorts two weeks ago and have heard Diddley since. The money disappeared from my account but there has been no communication at all. No 'Thank you for your order' not even a ' your purchase has been delayed', nothing.
I have tried emailing them, ringing them and using the website to ask for a ring back, nothing.
Anybody dealt with by them?
Any suggestions for next move?

based on their Trustpilot reviews, I'd be contacting my CC company to get my money back!

I've ordered from them, and your experience matches mine exactly - but the stuff did arrive. No tracking or other comms at all, really. Seems to be just their way, they're sort of a German Tredz, lowest prices and biggest range but none of it in stock.

Unfortunately I paid with debit card but via PayPal though not with an actual PayPal account. I will see if I can claim through them

I've always thought that was a scam site when it popped up on Google shopping :0

I always check shops out on Trustpilot first and use PayPal on my first order as a safety measure.

If you mean https://www.exxpozed.co.uk/ then ordered loads from them over the years and always the same - never get any communication but it always turns up. Same with returns - they never acknowledge getting it back but the money is refunded

Ok , I'll give them a bit longer before embarking on the equally long winded PayPal process!

I've ordered a few things from them - usually takes a week to be dispatched and a week to arrive. Never had any problems.

they’re sort of a German Tredz,

I never understand the hate for tredz. Everything I’ve ever ordered has turned up fast and you can always get a discount code. Saying that I have noticed since covid 19 their prices have shot up higher than anyone else.

Halfords have to pay the cycle Republic closing bills somehow

I feel that I have to update this thread-- a month after my OP and six weeks after my order, it finally arrived. I have had to sit down and have a stiff drink to recover!
After many attempts I did manage to get through by phone to exxposed to be told everything was under control and I would get the shorts when in stock at the importer. His English deteriorated when I asked how they could sell stock they and their supplier didn't have. Still they arrived in the end and I now know never to buy anything from them again.
In complete contrast, ordered some bike shorts from Countryside climb and ski which arrived next day even by Royal Mail

I always check shops out on Trustpilot first

A lot of big companies have admin teams that aggressively deal with bad reviews. They drown them out by flooding the site with counter positive reviews, that they obviously always verify as real customers!

Don't trust Trustpilot.

Mentioned elsewhere, I think, but I can recommend Mantel. Decent pricing and ship by UPS from the Netherlands with very prompt posting of in-stock items. My experience is that if you order by 6pm (or even later!) on Monday, it'll be in your hands on Wednesday. At the moment, this is a significant improvement on the 7+ days that stuff coming by Royal Mail is taking to here, even from relatively local sources 🙁

Used them and never had issues. Always had emails with the order confirmation and then the dispatch with a tracking number.

Checked your spam folder?

No problem with ordering from Germany here. I ordered a guitar from Thomann on Monday evening, 11th may and it arrived Friday lunchtime, 4 days later.

Ordered the wife some new mtb shoes ten days ago from Tredz. 'Seemed' to imply that they were stock. Their link says ' waiting for one item' . Suspect that they dont have the stock now. Tried to email but not had a response. Should I continue to wait or discuss with Paypal about a refund ? Not ordered from them for many years, so thought it worth a punt as wifes shoe size is fairy foot size and nowhere else had any.
