Bring beer money
Bregante is our leader. Not sure if the Col du Gran Batard is included in his plans.

It isn't currently but some hike-a-bike* onto the top of Windy Hill, is...
*this is very much subject to the weather staying dry until Monday.
We will need to set off at 8.15 prompt though.
😀
I'm in! Light should be being delivered today, hopefully. 🙂
What's Col du Gran Batard?
I'm in
Monday nights are mine again after last week's aberration so I'll be there.
How long does it take to ride the canal from Tod to Hollingworth?
V2 light arrived earlier. Looks ace. 🙂
great service from mtb batteries, can't recommend them enough.
Ordered yesterday at about 10am, arrived within 24 hours
What's Col du Gran Batard
If we have time at the end of mondays ride Jon, I might show you. Otherwise just look out for harry pointing skywards in the general direction of the M62.
Any more for any more?
I'm in, although it may be the last before I go on holiday.
I have been informed that if I have a bad crash that means I can't drive it had better be fatal.
if I have a bad crash
As if that would happen 🙂
Yeah. Flying 20ft through the air and going head first down a hole has burned at least 6 of my 9 lives.
How long does it take to ride the canal from Tod to Hollingworth?
Not sure about the canal, but probably around 20 minutes on road.
Clover says "It'll take him about four minutes".
Are The Walsden Massive playing out?
I'll be there. Not sure about Chipps or Clover, probably 🙂
Oooh, I reckon I can make this one, grand.
Chaps and chapessses - could I just add the same request as last time. The Wine Press gets busy on summer evenings. So they won't appreciate us filling their car park up then swanning off into the hills
So if we park in the visitor centre car park, which is about 30 yards down from the pub on the left.
And so you're forewarned - Bregante may not be able to make tonight. So if not, you've got me leading from the rear again. It'll be a completely different route from last time though, but there will still be an element of hike-a-bike involved near the end. To get round and get a beer in, we'll need to be on our way bang on 8.15
Laterz!
Hopefully i'll be there, last ride on my monarch RT3!
Bah, I'm not going to make it out. New brake pads are faulty, plus undiagnosed chain issue means I'd be asking for a mechanical 🙁
Top ride boys and girls.
Hooning down the last gravel descent as the light fades with a bunch of mates is why I ride bikes.
Brilliant! Thanks. 😀
Impending mechanical? No worries, just cycle round the car park till your crank falls off 😉
Brilliant fun! As always!
Good job Daz had brought his fixing hammer for those cranks! 🙂
*lies in bed in The Netherlands and wonders what will be happening the week after next*
Cheers for being me binners 🙂
I finished work at 1130 in the end and am just about to go back in (should be my day off and all) 👿
It was an ace ride! 🙂
Sorry to have missed the pub after, had to shoot off home for a 5am start
Pah, had to be up for a 5am start?
I stayed for 2 pints, was up at 5am and have already done 45 miles and 2800ft today! </4yorkshiremen>
The now obligatory staring into the sunset picture...
You've jinxed it now. Great ride again guys (and girls). Don't think I'll ever get bored of riding Blackstone Edge.

Sums up MNPR pretty well for me!
Wanted to come again this week but still had a sore wrist from a tumble week before! Where is next week?
Rivington I think. Will confirm on Thursday.
There was talk of repeating the run we did a couple of weeks ago.
That would be perfect for me 🙂 ill keep my eyes peeled for a thread
Is there a link to the last ride?
Hmm...considering turning up for the next one. I clicked the link; didn't really make much sense to an idiot like me.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard is it!?
Ta.
Not hard at all Rich. I go and I'm shite 🙂
It's at least an 8, most of the pubs serve a variety of ales and have a good selection of crisps. It can be a real struggle if you're not au fait with the beers on tap and an audience watching, a couple of occasions i've almost crumbled under the pressure and thirst.
The ride itself is probably a 3, the pub quandary takes it to a 7. Remembering to bring cash, as there's generally a minimum spend on cards bumps it up the final point to an 8.

I cant guarantee being out at the moment but i will try and get there this coming Monday. I did a good ride the other day that i thought would be good to share on a MNPR. Has someone else volunteered to lead next week or would you like me to don my yellow waistcoat and lead?*
*In the not from the front sense?
