[#1866052]

Just checking over the bikes for holiday next week. GFs bike is all good.

My fronts brake felt a touch on the not sticky side so thought id ride around a bit to see if I could bed them in a bit more. good job I did it now as the pad compound came away from the metal backing (hence 'mini fail')

Now I need new ones. Your suggestions please?

They are original minis.

thanks long time 🙂

If you need them by monday then I'd suggest you buy whatever your lbs stocks.

Discobrakes are good but I think monday is pushing it even with their delivery times.

Cheap pads. Buy 4 sets for the price of one original set, get 3 times the maintenance, and slightly lower performance IME.
I've been on a single set of Hope pads for the last 18 months based at Afan. And with our grit, you can't ask for more.

A2Z pads from Woolly Hat Shop have been excellent value and lasted well (sintered) - can't really comment on their effectiveness as they are on the commuter and don't really get tested that hard.
