[#440711]

What has happened over at Mike Cookson Cycles (Whtiefield / Bury)...just checked their web-site before phoning and it says that it is under new management.
Anybody got any details...Mike gone then ? Are the rest of the guys still there (Shaun ?)...
just checking before I entrust them with some workshop work

Shaun is now the boss. Mike's retired I think.

Partners daughter went in a couple of weeks ago to get an estimate after an accident.

Me: "Did you speak to the boss"?
Her: "Nah, he only looked about 18".
Me: "That's him".

Extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with, as always.

They have a really decent attitude towards customers.

I popped in recently because of a problem with a new bike that wasn't bought from them - They couldn't have been more helpful.

Because of this, we tend to buy accessories from them rather than saving a couple of quid by ordering from the internet.

They get the business, I get the service - everyone's a winner.

Shaun is the "new young gaffer"

Very helpful and knows his stuff.

I would recommend him and his shop for repairs and sales 😀

he's a good guy and fast on a bike too. Worth looking up his results in 24 hour solo racing in the past.
He won the first Hit the North race.

Yes, I am chasing a discount 😉

Wow, that must have been some prize money for his Hit The North performance to fund a shop purchase!
I'm reassured that it should be business as usual...bike going in
