Njee recomends those cheep/light hubs off ebay, I'm tempted to build a set, as he points out there's not much to go wrong in a road hub, and cartridges are generaly replaceable.

I'd get some but unfortunately sometime bwtween going to uni and now I seem to have grown well past the weight limits for most lightweight components!

Really want a powertap G3 hub though, silly money for a hub, but only 325g for a power meter, thats a 75g pentalty over a Dura Ace hub! Might mention it to my LBS that they're £675 on ebay from the USA.

I am really impressed by my miche primato road hubs. I have used them for 3 cross and a road season with not a single problem and until they got nicked with a bike last week were still very smooth.

I've had some Miche Primatos built up on Ambrosio Excellight rims for a while now. They were built up by John at Just Riding Along. You can tweak the hubs for any play but I've not had to yet. Not had any problems with wheels at all. John's also built some up for himself now. Give them call, very friendly, great service. Met up with them in Bristol bike show. Nice line of off road stuff too.
