does anyone have any comments on the cheaper met Trenta helmet. How well ventilated, finished etc.

I've used the pre MIPS one for a few years doing all manner of riding in hot tropical conditions and it just discretely sat on my head doing helmet things without being noticed. My only complaint is the little elastic loop wasn't enough to stop the excess strap from flapping around so I secured it with electrical tape.
