The recent Malt-G from Merlin Cycles looks like a great introduction to the gravel side, along similar lines to the Sonder Camino-Al. At £649 with Tiagra and disc brakes (albeit cable-type), the Malt-G looks the part. Has anyone recently ridden or bought one? Thoughts appreciated as always! Cheers folks.

Check max tyre size, its somewhere around 35mm from memory, and that's why I`m out.

According to this 'review' they put 38s on it - no other mention of clearance tho. It does look the part.

Thanks for your reply. Just checked recent review on road.cc, said it comes with 35mm tyres, they tested it with 40mm, with room to spare

I think 40mm would be about right for me

Just read that review as well - it sounds pretty good by all accounts.
